Terms for using the Coffee Mug platform in the pre-launch phase
These terms govern your use of the Coffee Mug platform, its website and its apps. By using the platform after it launches, you accept these terms in the version approved at that time.
The service Draft
Coffee Mug is a technical intermediary that lets you choose a coffee shop and branch, place an order ahead, then pick the order up from your car and pay the coffee shop directly at pickup. Coffee shops prepare and hand over the orders, and they set their own items and prices.
Pre-launch phase Draft
The platform is being prepared for a pilot launch in Qatar. Some features may be limited or available to a selected group only, and they may change or stop without prior notice. Real orders have not started yet.
Your account Draft
- Accounts are created with a phone number that is verified with a code sent to you.
- You are responsible for the accuracy of the data you enter and for keeping your sign-in codes confidential.
- You must not use your account for anything contrary to the law or to the rights of others.
Orders and pickup Draft
- Payment is made directly to the coffee shop when you pick up the order. Prices and amounts are shown before you confirm the order.
- You must enter your vehicle details accurately and tell the coffee shop you have arrived through the app.
- Cancellation and refund policies will be set and shown before you confirm the order. These policies are being finalised.
- An order may be declined or cancelled if it cannot be prepared. If you have already paid the coffee shop, any refund is arranged with the coffee shop under the refund policy.
Payments Draft
As designed for the pilot launch, payment is made directly to the coffee shop at pickup and the platform does not collect the money in this mode. Card, Apple Pay and Google Pay are coming soon and are not available yet. If and when electronic payments are enabled they will be processed by a payment provider that we will announce. If any fees apply, they will be shown to you clearly before you confirm.
Coffee shop responsibility Draft
The coffee shop is responsible for the quality and safety of its products, for information about their ingredients and allergens, and for preparing and handing over the order. Coffee Mug is not a party to the preparation of food and drinks.
Acceptable use Draft
- Misusing the platform, attempting unauthorised access or disrupting it is prohibited.
- Placing fake orders or entering misleading data is prohibited.
- We may suspend an account that breaches these terms.
Intellectual property Draft
The Coffee Mug name, its visual identity and the content of the website and apps belong to their owners. They may not be copied or used without permission.
Limits of liability Draft
The service is provided as is and as available. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect damages or for delays caused by circumstances beyond our control. This section needs legal review.
Changing and ending these terms Draft
We may change these terms and publish the new version on this page with its date. You may stop using the platform at any time, and the platform may end or suspend the service.
Governing law Draft
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Qatar. The jurisdiction and competent court are under legal review and will be set before launch.
